Apple Valley came out on top against Hesperia on Friday thanks in part to Peyton Gaytan's efforts. Gaytan scored three runs while going 1-for-3, which was good enough to set a new career-high in runs.

Coming up, Gaytan and Apple Valley will venture away from home to square off against Granite Hills at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Sun Devils are a perfect 9-0 against the Cougars going back to February of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
