The Gaffney Indians won the last time they faced the Union County Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Friday too. Gaffney blew past Union County 87-15 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gaffney.
Gaffney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tianah Hopper, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hopper has scored at least 25% of Gaffney's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzabella Sarratt, who scored 18 points along with 7 steals.
Gaffney's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Union County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Gaffney will be playing in front of their home fans against J.L. Mann at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they will head out on the road to face off against Spartanburg Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
