Cavonta Washington Goes Supernova in Rivercrest Victory
Starting off the list is Rivercrest's Cavonta Washington, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Washington rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.
The win for Rivercrest keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. It'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when Colts dukes it out withHoxie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tyler Bell Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Tyler Bell posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 232 yards and two touchdowns. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run.
The victory (which was Osceola's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. Bell and Osceola will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Jayvin Thompson Puts an End to Harrisburg's Losing Streak on Friday
Thanks in part to Jayvin Thompson, Harrisburg said goodbye to their 14-game losing streak dating back to last season. Thompson rushed for 148 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 84 yards.
Harrisburg's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Thompson and Harrisburg will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Barker Posts Huge Game in 48-44 Loss
Kiandrea Barker continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fourth-straight game with at least 111 rushing yards. He rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry.
Newport's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-1. Barker and Newport will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Manila at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.
