New Holstein has gone 8-2 against Roncalli recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Huskies will challenge the Jets at 4:00 p.m. New Holstein's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Roncalli's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
New Holstein will bounce into Monday's contest after beating St. Mary's Springs, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Huskies put the hurt on the Ledger with a sharp 12-2 victory on Friday. The matchup marked the Huskies' most dominant win of the season so far.
Conner Popp made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Popp was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Parker Ziebell was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Trenton Schmitz also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Roncalli hadn't done well against Mishicot recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Jets narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Indians 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Jets have posted since April 9th.
The team relied heavily on Dexter Lepich, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aiden Jergenson, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Roncalli now has a winning record of 6-5. As for New Holstein, their record now sits at 7-4.
New Holstein was able to grind out a solid victory over Roncalli in their previous matchup back in April, winning 9-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
