After flying high against the North Plainfield Canucks on Wednesday, the Teaneck Highwaymen came back down to earth. Teaneck fell just short of West Orange by a score of 44-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Teaneck has scored all season.
Among those leading the charge was Mya Bushrod, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyley Gary-Grayson, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Teaneck's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for West Orange, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Teaneck will take on NV - Demarest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. NV - Demarest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Teaneck is ranked 48th). As for West Orange, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paramus Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
