Perry County Central is a perfect 10-0 against Hazard since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Commodores will welcome the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Perry County Central will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Last Monday, Perry County Central got the win against Leslie County by a conclusive 15-1. The Commodores might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by six runs or more this season.

Taylan Hoskins and Ashlyn Dixon did most of the damage at the plate: Hoskins went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Dixon got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Dixon a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Dixon, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Perry County Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .476. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hazard). They never let Portland Christian get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.
Baylynn Roll looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braylynn Eddington, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. She also put up a stolen base, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Heidi Jones, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Hazard has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Perry County Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Perry County Central has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .488. However, it's not like Hazard struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Perry County Central's way against Hazard in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Perry County Central made off with a 10-2 win. Do the Commodores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
