The Vincennes Rivet Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Central, falling 76-38. Vincennes Rivet has struggled against North Central recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
North Central was led to victory by Trashaun Cockrell and Ethan Willis. Cockrell dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 assists, while Willis dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 rebounds. Cockrell continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gaven Simmons, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Vincennes Rivet bumped their record down to 3-9 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Central, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-6.
Vincennes Rivet will head out on the road to challenge Northeast Dubois at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Northeast Dubois focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven last Friday. As for North Central, North Central and Riverton Parke will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
