They came out on top against Legion Collegiate Academy by a score of 48-36. This was payback for United Faith Christian Academy, who suffered a 71-13 loss the last time these two teams met.
United Faith Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jada Richardson led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds. Richardson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsen Young, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Despite the loss, Legion Collegiate Academy had strong showings from Amelia Williams, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Jaylen McMurray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played.
Even though they lost, Legion Collegiate Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
United Faith Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
