Muncie Burris is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Liberty Christian with a sharp 12-2 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Owls in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.
Nicolas Bontzek made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Bontzek was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, Reese Zaucha was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Beau Edmonds, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Muncie Burris always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Canterbury hadn't done well against Bluffton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cavaliers blew past the Tigers 13-6. That looming 13-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cavaliers yet this season.
Like Muncie Burris, Fort Wayne Canterbury also got a great game from a two-way player: JP Rohwer. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Rohwer has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Andrew Maloblocki, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was his first of the season. Braylon Maxey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Fort Wayne Canterbury, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
