Even though The Millbrook Pioneers have not done well against the Sherando Warriors recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Millbrook didn't even let Sherando onto the board and left with a 19-0 victory. This was payback for Millbrook, who suffered a 46-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Millbrook can attribute much of their success to Tyson Mallory, who rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns.
Millbrook's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Sherando, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Handley the next time they take the field. Millbrook will head out to face Handley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Sherando will host them at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
