Volleyball Recap: Rhinelander Falls Despite Big Games from Cassidy Lindner and Kayla Skubal

Rhinelander was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Northland Pines Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-11, 25-8.

Rhinelander's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kayla Skubal, who had 16 digs and three assists, and Cassidy Lindner, who had six digs and two aces. Skubal has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

Rhinelander's defeat dropped their record down to 2-27. As for Northland Pines, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 16-11.

Rhinelander has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Medford on the 2nd. As for Northland Pines, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Tomahawk on the 2nd.
