The Hayden Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Prospect Ridge Academy, falling 64-29. Hayden was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Despite the defeat, Hayden had strong showings from Cameron Morrison, who scored five points, and Adrian Drew, who scored six points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prospect Ridge Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Liam Schilling, who scored 19 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Schilling has scored at least 25% of Prospect Ridge Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Samuel Vasquez, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Hayden's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hayden will be staying on the road on January 6, 2024 to face off against West Grand at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Hopefully West Grand focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, Prospect Ridge Academy and Brush will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Brush is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
