Eastern South Dakota recap November 13, 2013
Watertown added to the longest winning streak in Eastern South Dakota this week by beating Yankton, 32-14. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Arrows.
Riggs took down Harrisburg 45-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Bucks/Gazelles' Mason Strahl and JJ Hejna led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Strahl has thrown for 1,132 yards this season, while Hejna has 38 catches for 821 yards. Mitch Johnson from Mitchell leads the league in rushing with 520 yards.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Governors and Watertown. Riggs enters the game ranked seventh in the state, while the Arrows ranks 10th.
Watertown made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,451 from 4,066. The improvement was the result of a 32-14 victory over Yankton last week.
