The Silver Valley Trojans will face off against the Webb Gauls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Silver Valley took a 44-point loss the last time they faced off against Riverside Prep, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 36-33 win over the Silver Knights on Friday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Noah Durrah produced another solid performance rushing for 294 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 118 rushing yards. Javion Taylor was another key player, rushing for 245 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 11.7 yards per carry.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Silver Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 539 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Webb was fully in charge on Saturday, breezing past Santa Rosa Academy 51-24. The result was nothing new for the Gauls, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Webb's win came from a few key players Silver Valley will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mikey Pino, who threw for 375 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.9 yards per attempt. His passing game has become a key predictor of Webb's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. The Gauls' leading receiver Alec Kaushal was Pino's top target yet again, picking up 219 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Webb didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Kaushal led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Aidan Kaushal got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The victory made it two in a row for Webb and bumps their season record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points over those games. As for Silver Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Silver Valley won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer when the teams last played back in October of 2024, slipping by Webb 14-13. Will the Trojans repeat their success, or do the Gauls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
