Leading Sweeny to victory were Clinton Varner and Warrick Hernandez. Varner dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Hernandez scored 20 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Hernandez scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kendrick Hernandez, who scored seven points.
The win got Sweeny back to even at 4-4. As for Calhoun, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Sweeny's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tenaha at 12:30 p.m. on December 7th. As for Calhoun, they will take on Tarkington at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
