The Aliceville Yellowjackets lost against the Marion Rams last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Aliceville took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marion.
Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keanthony Wilder, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Wilder has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Damarion Brewer was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Aliceville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Marion, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aliceville will take on Holy Spirit Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion, they will be playing at home against Calhoun at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
