Wood Memorial is 8-1 against South Spencer since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Wood Memorial Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the South Spencer Rebels at 7:00 p.m. Wood Memorial will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Wood Memorial didn't have too much trouble with Barr-Reeve at home as they won 47-30.
Meanwhile, South Spencer beat Pike Central 40-33 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for South Spencer.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead South Spencer to victory, but perhaps none more so than Molly Schulte, who scored 16 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds. The contest was Schulte's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Harris, who scored 12 points.
Wood Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for South Spencer, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Wood Memorial beat South Spencer 46-36 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wood Memorial since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
