After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Louisville, the Washington Tigers were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They took down Alliance 61-46. Given Washington's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Alliance is ranked 468th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Makiya Edwards was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Washington is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Alliance, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will be home for the holidays to greet Buchtel at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Alliance, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Loudonville at 1:00 p.m. on December 23rd. Loudonville is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
