Chicago Christian dropped their record down to 20-10 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 13-8 to the Aurora Christian Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 12-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Christian Flutman stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Sytsma, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

As for Aurora Christian, they pushed their record up to 16-13 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.

On Aurora Christian's side, Kaleb Elwood was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave Elwood a new career-high.

While Chicago Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
