After flying high against Anderson Prep Academy  on Thursday, Knightstown came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Cowan Blackhawks by a score of  2-1 on Saturday.
 In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Knightstown sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 20-25,  15-10.
 Lanee Swindell paced Knightstown's offense, picking up 14 kills. Swindell got some help from  Jaycie Cole and her 19 assists.
 Leading Cowan to victory were  Taylor Young and  Eowyn Glaze.  Young  had seven  digs and two  aces, while  Glaze  had five  digs. Those  two  aces gave  Young a new career-high.
Knightstown dropped their record down to 1-4 with the  loss, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. As for Cowan, they moved to 2-4 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
 Knightstown has  already played their next  matchup (against KIPP Legacy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cowan, they have also already played their next game,  a  2-0  defeat against Southern Wells on the 30th.
