After a string of four wins, the Byron Nelson Bobcat's's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a tough blow as they fell 53-34 to Keller. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Byron Nelson has scored all season.
Leading Keller to victory were Steven Ramirez and Brooks Bahr. Ramirez dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Bahr scored nine points along with nine assists and six rebounds. The match was Ramirez's 17th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Estep, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Byron Nelson's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7. As for Keller, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Byron Nelson will finish 2023 at home by hosting Southwest at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. Keller will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Highland Park at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
