If The Richmond Spartans were riding high off their 58-18 takedown of the Lexington Minutemen last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Richmond fell to Chillicothe 28-22. Richmond was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chillicothe apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2020.
Chillicothe's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Javon Kille, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Richmond now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Chillicothe, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-5.
Richmond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Chillicothe will face off against St. Pius X at TBD on Friday. St. Pius X is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
