Baseball Recap: Saint Ignatius College Prep Comes Up Short

Saint Ignatius College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Providence Catholic Celtics. That's two games in a row now that the Wolfpack have lost by exactly ten runs.

Saint Ignatius College Prep saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Jelinek, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Saint Ignatius College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 10-20. As for Providence Catholic, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saint Ignatius College Prep will challenge Chicago Mt. Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Providence Catholic, they will square off against St. Patrick at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
