They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears. Jasper got a good showing from Kayson Owens, who tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Owens has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
