 Lamar's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Tyler Brown, who rushed for 110 yards and three  TDs on only 12 carries. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  Brown a new career-high.  Jalin Trotter did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 150  receiving yards.
Mize's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lamar, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming  games. Mize will square off against Heidelberg at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Oilers' defense has only allowed 13.2  points per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Lamar, they will challenge Hartfield Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Raiders are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
