It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Greenfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Hurley Tigers 11-10. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Greenfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Hurley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenfield will take on Golden City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hurley, they will square off against Galena at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
