Royal has gone a perfect 3-0 against Cashmere recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Royal will welcome Cashmere at 3:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

While Royal didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Wapato on Saturday as Royal made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Knights have won three games by more than nine runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Cashmere put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand College Place a 10-0 shutout. That looming 10-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Tom McDevitt made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. McDevitt was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. McDevitt is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jake Peterson, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylon Rubio, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cashmere pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Royal, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Royal was able to grind out a solid victory over Cashmere when the teams last played back in April of 2021, winning 9-4. Does Royal have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cashmere turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
