Holy Cross was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight  loss. They took  an  11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holy Redeemer Royals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Holy Cross of the  9-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2023.
 Holy Cross saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Nic Borgia, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 On Holy Redeemer's side, they let  Luke Kopec and  Cody Quaglia loose on the outfield. Kopec  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  Quaglia  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jett Kelsall, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI.
 Holy Cross' loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Holy Redeemer,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 10-3.
 Holy Cross will head out on the road to  take on  Old Forge at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Old Forge's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Holy Cross' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Holy Redeemer, they are on the road again  on Monday to play MMI Preparatory School at 4:15  p.m. MMI Preparatory School is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7  runs per game  this season.
