On Friday, The Jarrell Cougars never let their opponents score. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Manor New Tech 55-0 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Jarrell.
Jarrell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JaMarion Nibblett, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Nibblett was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Nico Rodriguez was another key contributor, throwing for 171 yards and four touchdowns on only 16 passes.
Jarrell's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Manor New Tech, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Jarrell will head out on the road to face off against Lago Vista at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lago Vista will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Manor New Tech will take on Navarro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Navarro presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Manor New Tech in Texas (Navarro is ranked 331st, while Manor New Tech is ranked 1127th).
