The Horseshoe Bend Generals scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They managed a 74-68 victory over Wadley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Wadley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Frisco Robertson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. The contest was Robertson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Damarious Spraddling, who scored 19 points along with four steals.
Horseshoe Bend pushed their record up to 6-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Wadley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horseshoe Bend will challenge Beauregard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Beauregard presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Horseshoe Bend in Alabama (Beauregard is ranked 145th, while Horseshoe Bend is ranked 304th). Wadley will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Alabama School for the Deaf at 7:00 p.m. on December 14th. Alabama School for the Deaf is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
