Fairfield is 9-1 against Eldorado since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mules will challenge the Eagles at 4:30 p.m.
Fairfield is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Harrisburg just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 15-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Mules couldn't push the score so high this time.

Fairfield saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jake Easton, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Easton has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eldorado). They blew past Norris City-Omaha-Enfield 21-4 on Monday. The Eagles have beaten the Fighting Cardinals the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Fighting Cardinals has come to flipping the script.
Eldorado let Maddex Rash and Nolan Rilying run wild. Rash went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Rilying went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those five RBI gave Rilying a new career-high. Jordan Jones was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Eldorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 4-14. As for Fairfield, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
Fairfield got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Eldorado by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mules since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
