The Sierra Vista Dons will head out on the road to face off against the Whittier Cardinals at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Sierra Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Sierra Vista beat Workman 47-42.
Sierra Vista's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Orozco, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Anson Wei, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
Whittier played against El Rancho and won via forfeit.
Sierra Vista's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Whittier, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.
