Calvary Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt  a  59-32 defeat at the hands of the North Broward Prep Eagles on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Calvary Christian Academy of the  57-42 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in December of 2023.
 Despite the  defeat, Calvary Christian Academy had strong showings from  Taryn Wakefield, who  scored 15 points, and  Teagan Wakefield, who  posted 15 points.
 North Broward Prep had a senior duo take command as  Alexa Schwartz  almost  dropped  a triple-double on ten points, ten  assists,  and nine  steals and  Kaydie Sturm  went 8 for 12 en route to 18 points plus two  steals. The dominant performance gave  Schwartz a new career-high in  assists.  Sadye Eichman was another key player,  posting eight points along with two  steals.
 The  win  got North Broward Prep back to even at 1-1.
 Calvary Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  50-22  victory against West Boca Raton on the 21st. North Broward Prep has also  already played their next contest,  a  61-49  win against Pine Crest on the 21st.
