The Trinity Trojans won the last time they faced the Independence Blue Devils, and things went their way on Friday too. Trinity simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Independence 59-22 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Trinity.
Trinity can attribute much of their success to De'oshania Bennett, who scored 16 points along with 7 steals. Bennett is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Iniya Charlton was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Trinity now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Independence, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lutheran West at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Independence will take on Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairview presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Independence in Ohio (Fairview is ranked 157th, while Independence is ranked 557th).
