Erath is 0-10 against Abbeville since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Erath Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Abbeville Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Erath is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Erath was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 45-40 to Kaplan.
Meanwhile, Abbeville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Crowley 74-17 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Abbeville has managed all season.
Erath's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-8. As for Abbeville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.
Erath was dealt a bruising 55-19 defeat at the hands of Abbeville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Erath avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
