The Santaluces Chiefs won the last time they faced the Royal Palm Beach Wildcats, and things went their way on Thursday too. Santaluces took down Royal Palm Beach 50-35.
It was another big night for Makaylah Wayde, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyiah Gaitor, who scored 9 points along with 11 rebounds and 3 blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Royal Palm Beach lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mariayah Jean. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Mallory, who scored 8 points.
The victory got Santaluces back to even at 2-2. As for Royal Palm Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Santaluces is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Clewiston at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. As for Royal Palm Beach, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Palm Beach Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th.
