M.L. King extended the longest winning streak in AAAAA Region 6 this week by beating Stephenson, 49-28. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Lions.
Clarkston took down Cross Keys 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Mays' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tre Jones has thrown for 1080 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Deangelo Yancey has 33 catches for 477 yards. Eric Farley leads the league in rushing with 350 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place M.L. King takes on second place Tucker. Last week, M.L. King defeated the Jaguars, while Tucker topped Miller Grove.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when the Lions and the Tigers meet this week. M.L. King features well-regarded senior Joshua Outlaw while Tucker has Juwaan Williams, a sought after senior.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Lions take on Bryan Lamar's team. M.L. King has allowed 74 points this season, while the Tigers have given up 67. The Lions allowed 28 points last week as they bested Stephenson.
The Angoras led AAAAA Region 6 in scoring this week after putting up 50 points on the Indians.
