The Foard Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Maiden Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foard knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Maiden likes a good challenge.
Foard will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Bandys, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Tigers blew past the Trojans 14-1 on Friday. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

K Sigmon
| 03/06/26 @ Bandys | 2 |
| 03/05/26 vs Lincoln Charter | 2 |
| 03/03/26 @ Hickory | 2 |
| 02/27/26 vs Draughn | 2 |
| 02/25/26 @ West Iredell | 2 |
K Sigmon spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Foard got a big performance out of Addy Lael, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Lael has posted since back in April of 2025. A Stillwell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bandys only managed two.
Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for Maiden, as they earned their first away win of the season. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over Hickory on Friday. That's two games straight that the Blue Devils have won by exactly three runs.
Mariah Khang and Maddy Clontz did most of the damage at the plate: Khang went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Clontz went a perfect 5-for-5 with three RBI and one double. Khang also put up a run, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brenna Halsey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Foard's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Maiden, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Maiden's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Foard has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Maiden, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Foard keep running through batters, or will the Blue Devils buck the trend?
Foard couldn't quite get it done against Maiden when the teams last played back in March of 2022 as they fell 11-7. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
