 On Basha's side,  Cailin Quinney was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-4 with a  home run and four  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Makaila Quinney, who  went 1-for-3 with a  home run and three  RBI.
 Xavier College Prep's win was  their eighth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 20-3-1. As for Basha, their defeat  ended  an  11-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 22-2-1.
 The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: they beat Xavier College Prep by a score of  17-11.
