Workman had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Bassett on Thursday. The Lobos blew past the Olympians 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Workman is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Bassett, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Workman will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. on the 15th. Bassett has already played their next game (against La Puente), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
