The Southeast Golden Buffalo will head out on the road to face off against the Northwest Grizzlies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Southeast earned a 58-50 victory over West. The win was just what Southeast needed coming off of a 80-48 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Northwest humbled North with a 72-29 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-14.
Northwest's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Elijah Benning, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and 7 steals. Jerome Henderson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Kapaun Mt. Carmel's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Southeast's defeat dropped theirs to 1-1.
Southeast came up short against Northwest when the teams last played back in February, falling 61-55. Can Southeast avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
