On Friday, Troy got the W thanks in part to Ethan Mundt playing the best football he has all season. Mundt rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries, and also caught a touchdown. If the past is any indication, Alcala could be in store for another big game when he takes on Irvine on Friday. When Alcala last faced the Vaqueros back in September of 2023, he threw for 362 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also punched in a rushing score.

This season, Abad has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 150.7 rushing yards per game.

On Friday, Irvine got the W thanks in part to Deacon Moss playing the best football he has all season. Moss picked up 167 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (five) he has had since back in October of 2023. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 59 yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Irvine, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. Moss and Irvine will face off against Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
