Mountain Iron-Buhl had won four straight games and Chris King did his part to make it five on Friday. The Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers enjoyed a cozy 70-55 victory over the Nashwauk-Keewatin Spartans thanks in part to King, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Izaiah Alto, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in December of 2024.
Mountain Iron-Buhl's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Nashwauk-Keewatin, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14.
Coming up, Mountain Iron-Buhl will head out on the road to take on South Ridge at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. South Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Mountain Iron-Buhl likes a good challenge.
