Baseball Recap: The Colony Extends Winning Streak to Three

The Colony waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Turner Lions as they made off with an 11-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 on Tuesday.

The Colony got a big performance out of Sean Keenen, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Keenen has posted since back in March. Kolton Lang also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The Colony's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-8. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Turner, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.

Coming up, The Colony will take on Wakeland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 4.1, the Wolverines 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Turner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
