Baseball Recap: Front Range Christian Comes Up Short

Front Range Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Clear Creek on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golddiggers by a score of 8-7. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golddiggers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Haedan Morton was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Front Range Christian: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nate McInturff, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Front Range Christian's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5. As for Clear Creek, their win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Front Range Christian will take on Colorado Springs Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clear Creek, they will square off against South Park at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
