The Burroughs Bombers will head out on the road to square off against the Lutheran South Lancers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Burroughs will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Burroughs beat Villa Duchesne 3-1.
In the three sets Burroughs was on fire: they won each by at least 25 points. The final score came out to 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 25-0.

Burroughs relied on the efforts of Sophie Zhang, who had 14 digs and seven aces, and Bailey Biggs, who had ten digs and three aces. Those 14 digs gave Zhang a new career-high.
They weren't the only good server: Burroughs was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 26 aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Lutheran South unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Lutheran, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Lancers have suffered since September 3rd.
Lutheran South was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-14.
Burroughs now has a winning record of 7-6-1. As for Lutheran South, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Everything went Burroughs' way against Lutheran South when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as Burroughs made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bombers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
