The Davis Sr. Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 62-48 fall against Franklin. The match was a 30-30 toss-up at halftime, but Davis Sr. was outscored by Franklin in the second.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadyn Coaker, who scored ten points. Derek Barker was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Davis Sr. struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Franklin found their leader in underclassman Aiden Rollins, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyson Manfredi, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Davis Sr. has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Franklin, their victory bumped their record up to 17-4.
Davis Sr. will be playing at home against Cosumnes Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cosumnes Oaks is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to face off against Elk Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Elk Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
