Salem Hills is a perfect 3-0 against Cedar Valley since March of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Skyhawks will host the Aviators at 3:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Salem Hills had taken Springville down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Skyhawks came up short against the Red Devils, falling 13-3. The Skyhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason Ward made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kaleb DeGraffenried, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Cedar Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-2 to Spanish Fork.

Cedar Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyson Horne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Salem Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Cedar Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything went Salem Hills' way against Cedar Valley in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Salem Hills made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Skyhawks repeat their success, or do the Aviators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
