On Thursday, Lincolnton are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against North Gaston at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Lincolnton couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 0-27 punch to the gut against South Point last Thursday. Lincolnton were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-20.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-42, which was the final score in North Gaston's tilt against East Rutherford last week.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Hopefully the teams can find a way to make up for their last outings by putting some points on the board this time.
