After losing to the Kenston Bombers the last time they met, the Chagrin Falls Tigers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Chagrin Falls walked away with a 44-36 victory over Kenston on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chagrin Falls.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chagrin Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amelia Bencko, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Russell, who scored 12 points.
Kenston's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Cicek, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Aurora Young, who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Chagrin Falls is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Kenston, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Chagrin Falls will be home for the holidays to greet Lake Catholic at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Lake Catholic is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Kenston, they will head out on the road to face off against Nordonia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nordonia is on a four-game streak of home losses, Kenston a four-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
